Serving with purpose.
To break the cycle of poverty by empowering vulnerable children, women, and youth through education, socio-economic development, and spiritual growth, guided by the principle of loving and serving one another.
Allelon Ministries Malawi was founded by Liness Likhoozi, a passionate advocate for children, women, and underserved communities in Malawi.
It aims at advancing the empowerment, well being and equal participation in the society through various initiatives like educational and economic empowerment programs, advocacy for policy changes and fostering supportive networks.
Children and women face significant challenges in Africa and millions experience child marriages, limited access to education and healthcare, and high rates of violence.
Malawi also has widespread poverty, high rates of child marriages (46.7% of girls marry before the age of 18.) and has high adolescent pregnancy rates.
Significant number of children are deprived of basic needs, while women experience high rates of violence and are disproportionately burdened by unpaid care work.
Learn More About UsOur programs and outreach respond to real needs and seek to create meaningful and sustainable change.
A child who learns to read gains the ability to question, to choose, to advocate for themselves.
Empower one woman and you tend to lift a family; empower enough young people and you shift an economy.
Trust, generosity, and accountability don't come from policy alone; they come from formation.
You cannot educate a hungry child, employ an exhausted parent, or nurture a spirit trapped in a body that is failing.
When residents themselves identify priorities, mobilise resources, and own the outcome, change lasts beyond any funding cycle.
To break the cycle of poverty by empowering vulnerable children, women, and youth through education, socio-economic development, and spiritual growth, guided by the principle of loving and serving one another.
A transformed Malawi where every child thrives in school, every woman lives with dignity and purpose, and every community has sustainable solutions for education, health, and development, rooted in faith, love, and justice.
